About the Author

To write about cinema is a labor of love for me. I enjoy talking about movies just as much as watching them and it's always fun to find hidden gems from the past that are still relevant today.

My first job was as a projectionist at my local, small town theater. We had four screens and it was there, as I watched the flickering images from high above, that I solidified my relationship with the moving picture.

Since then, with the emergence of the internet, Netflix, and multiplex theaters, great films have made themselves more and more available. While the Hollywood blockbusters are ever present in our popular cultural, I find that it is the films that fall between the cracks that interest me most. Those subtle, sweet gems that often go overlooked by today's viewership deserve to be seen, and I take great joy in introducing people to these artifacts of lore and the happiness it brings them.
